The factory had the ability to stamp delicate steel hands with great precision, with the hardening and bluing processes performed in the basement kiln. Some of the 18-size hour and minute hands were directly interchangeable with those from the Illinois Watch Co, almost certainly because of Charles Higginbotham's connection with both factories.

The only known factory reference is the 1904 catalog, which shows hands for 6, 12 and 18-size models, which makes sense because the 0-size Model 20 and the 16-size Model 21 were still several years away.
If it weren't for this single publication, reprinted in Chris Bailey's 1981 booklet, there wouldn't be any information at all. No other paper of any kind pertaining to hands or dials has ever been reported.
Note the prices for a dozen sets of hands.
